LEARN TO SAIL COURSE
The Clearwater Community Sailing Center ( CCSC) is offering a two afternoon “how to sail” course for prospective new members of Windlasses. It will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 pm on Saturday August 19th and Sunday August 20th. The cost for the combined two days is only $35. CCSC is located on Sand Key at 1001 Gulf Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33767. See Map below.

Windlasses is open to female sailors who would like to improve their sailing skills through racing. For your safety and our insurance purposes, in order to be accepted into our Orientation Program, you must be able to do the following:
1. Sail a basic course which includes sailing into the wind, tacking and jibing.
2. Upright a capsized pram
3. Swim from the capsized pram to the safety boat, climb up the ladder on the back of the boat and get into the safety boat.
Windlasses 2017 - 2018 season begins with our New Member Coffee on August 24th. New membership is only available once a year at the end of August and is followed by a 6 week orientation period. Orientation for new member candidates is the first 6 weeks of our season. Successful passing of our Orientation Program is required in order to become a member. Those who do not pass will be given a refund of their annual dues.
